On 2 December 2016, Coroner Jacqui Hawkins made a Proceeding Suppression Order relating to the investigation into the death of Court Reference Number COR 2016 2418 The order prohibits the publication or broadcast of any material that may identify the deceased, or her family. This includes the name of the deceased and that of her parents and siblings. This information is not to be published or broadcast in Victoria or elsewhere in Australia pursuant to s18(2) of the Open Courts Act 2013. Coroner Audrey Jamieson issued an interim non publication order during a directions hearing held on 20 December 2011 at the Coroners Court of Victoria in Melbourne. The order prohibits the publication of any information which may identify a nine-day-old baby boy or his mother. Until further order of the court, any publication or broadcast by any means of radio, television or other means, may only refer to the infant as Baby Oscar and his mother as Baby Oscar's mother. On 27 March 2015, State Coroner Judge Ian Gray made a non publication order in relation to the investigation into the death of Kathleen Gladwyn Downes. The order strictly prohibits the publication of any material which may identify or tend to identify a person in the proceeding. On Friday 17 December 2015, The State Coroner, His Honour Judge Gray made a Proceeding Suppression Order in relation to an investigation into the death of Graeme Jensen. The order prohibits the publication or broadcast of all materials filed with the Coroners Court in the application to reopen the investigation into the death of Graeme Jensen, along with affidavits from witnesses and legal representatives. The order prohibits the publication of any material that may identify the name of a witness. A full copy of the order can be obtained by contact the court's Communications Manager on 1300 309 519.

On the 15 February 2013, State Coroner Judge Gray made a non publication order in respect of the inquest into the death of Michael Ataklet.
The order prohibits the publication of Exhibit L from the proceedings and part of the evidence given by Mr Mourad Mohammed which touches upon Exhibit L.
The evidence relates to the identification of a person whose identity is suppressed. As such the order cannot be published on the court website.
