Coroners Act 2008
The Coroners Act 2008 requires the reporting of certain deaths, and establishes the Coroners Court of Victoria as a specialist inquisitorial court. It also provides for coroners to investigate some deaths and fires, and to contribute to the reduction of the number of preventable deaths and fires through investigation findings that may contain comments and recommendations.
